Welcome!

Welcome to the Medina pages...my hope is to update this site with current photos and family updates as often as I can. Not always an easy task with a one year old, 11 year old and a hubby to take care of.

Easter Eve...

We dyed Easter eggs tonight, we had so much fun! I wish Noah was here to join in - it is his weekend at Grandma & Grandpas! As you can see my hubby had fun too!

Nature hike

Miguel and I were able to spend the day alone on Thursday and we went hiking at Santiago Oaks Wilderness park. It was such a wonderful day and we could not have asked for a more perfect day. The pictures are my attempt at photography!

Easter at Irvine Park

If you can't tell by now, Irvine Park is one of our favorite places to hang out, during Easter they have a mini carnival with bounce houses, face painting, egg hunting and the Easter Bunny. We meet my Paulette, Dale and Addie and spent the day enjoying the wonderful weather. Both Addie and Gabriel rode the ponies, I have to say that Addie did a much better job than Gabriel - Go Addie. We also went to the OC Zoo located inside the park - the kids had a wonderful time in the petting zoo. We went to lunch since we were all starving and it was so cute, Gabriel kept giving Addie food and wanting to make sure she did not go without the fried goodness we were consuming!

Irvine Park Anniversary

We met my cousin Paulette and her daughter Addie at the park to celebrate the parks anniversary. The kids enjoyed riding the train and watching all the excitement.

Discovery Science Center

We spent one Saturday at the Discovery Science Center in Santa Ana had a wonderful time, they have so many fun things that the kids can touch and feel. Miguel and I had a blast with all the hands on displays they have. It was a day well spent.

Trip to Santa Ana Zoo

We had a couple of hours to kill on a Saturday afternoon and headed out to the Santa Ana Zoo (Monkey zoo). It is so fun to watch Gabriel's reaction to the different types of animals. We rode the carousel and the train. Two hours later we were done and ready to eat. We headed to Knowlwoods and Gabriel had his first cheese burger - as you can see by the picture he loved it!

Noah makes the Honor Roll!

Noah received an award for making honor roll, the kids who got the award had to have a 3.5 GPA or better. We are very proud of him and the way he brought up his grades from the first quarter - Way to go Noah!

Hot Rod show

Daddy wanted to go to the hot rod show for his day, so off we went and had a geat time looking at tons and tons of cars. Miguel seemed to know the difference but they started to look the same after awhile.

Gabriel's favorite Christmas gift (Daddy's too)

Christmas morning.

We had a wonderful Christmas and enjoyed spending time with our families. The best time however was at home with my boys.

Annual visit to see the Christmas lights.

Since our first Christmas together we have gone to see the Christmas lights in Chino, there is about 5 streets with almost every house participating. This year was no exception - however it was so much fun seeing the sights through the eyes of a little one. Gabriel was so excited and kept saying "Oh yeah", he even wanted to become part of some of the exhibits.

Taking the oath..

Miguel was sworn in on December 19th at the LA convention center along with 6,000 others.

Noah's winter concert

We went to Noah's school for their winter recital, the kids have to chose either an instrument or be in the choir. This is Noah's last year in elementary - not sure where the time went.

San Francisco

We spent the day in San Francisco, we were total tourist and rode the cable car, at clam chowder out of a bread bowl and toured Union Square. This was Miguel's first time to the city and my first time as a tourist (mostly business trips). But we walked the streets of San Fran! We drove through Haight Ashbury and took a tour of Castro Street (via the car). For dinner I took my husband to my favorite restaurant in the bay area, Betelnut - highly recommend! We can't wait for our next trip.

Napa

The first week of December Miguel and I headed to Northern California for the weekend. I was very happy to be able to introduce my hunny to one of my favorite places in California. The weather was wonderful and we had a great time reconnecting (first trip away from Gabriel). Thank you Grandma McCarvel and Grandma & Grandpa Robles - we thank you for taking care of our little angel (LOL). We are hoping to go back sometime in 2009 - want to join us?
